Pimpdaddysupreme in the News and On Tour!!!Get your drink money in hand, cause PDS just might be coming to you! For those of you who follow Pimpdaddysupreme, you might have heard him last month on some stupid show called "All Things Considered". Robert Siegel from NPR actually interviewed him and said his "provocative" name on the rather conservative program. Quite funny, but I doubt anyone actually heard it. (It only airs on 600+ stations throughout the US) Catch Workeshoppe Radio Phonik this weekend in Lakewood, Ohio. On Saturday, June 15th they'll be at Recycled Rainbow 3.0 They'll be there playing with other Noise, Plunderphonic, Sample artists such as The Evolution Control Committee, Irene Moon, The Button, and Animals Within Animals. Sunday, June 16th they'll be on 91.1FM WRUW from Midnight to 3am (EDT) playing with The Button on their show "Press The Button" You can listen to the show as it happens on WRUW's live online stream. Pimpdaddysupreme has been invited to play at 2600 Magazine's H2K2 conference in July. (in New York City July 12-14) It seems he'll be opening for some hack named Mark Hostler (what does he know anyway??) from a really stupid band named Negativland. (Give Up!) On Friday, July 12th, Pimpdaddysupreme will be deconstructing the hits, beating the bonus, and pretty much blatantly pimpin' hisself on Re:Mixology (w/DJ Jesuspants 91.1fm WFMU from 8 to 9pm EDT) On Saturday, July 13th H2K2 time!!! The promoters of the fest have promised PDS his own dressing room with a cheese and deli meat tray, fresh towels and all the Starbucks(tm) he can drink! (wow) They also are giving him an hour and a half to play his special brand of Hip-Pop Electro-Noise to about 3000 people. (Double-WOW) If you don't have the $50 bucks to get into that shin-dig, Pimpdaddysupreme will be doing a free show (please note the Tip Jar)... On Sunday, July 14th (11pm EDT) at The Fort @ Sidewalk Cafe in The East Village. Lach, the leader of the Anti-Folk Movement (see: Beck), was nice enough to book PDS even though he'd never played NY before. So, if you live in NYC, GO SEE THIS SHOW!!! Recently, PDS has been practicing, with Matt the PM and other undisclosed noise/electro/sample plunderers, for an upcoming string of shows to be held in the coming year.
